A dedicated space for what’s weighing on you.
One-to-one therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, life transitions, perinatal and menopause mental health, and more, at your pace, in alignment with your values.

In This You?
- Feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or persistent sadness and looking for a way through
- Struggling with life transitions or relationships or patterns that keep repeating
- Not knowing who you are and trying to navigate how that influences everything
- Navigating a season of change and wanting support to find clarity and direction
- Finding your way as a new parent, or adjusting to the shift in identity it brings
- Moving through grief or emotional pain, and looking for someone to help you process it
You want to feel truly understood, find peace, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
You want a safe, non-judgmental space to express yourself, gain insight, and develop coping skills that help you face life’s difficulties with resilience and hope, in alignment with your values.
Therapy is a step toward change, growth, and healing. If you’re ready to take good care of yourself, I’m here to help you do this.
Areas of Focus
Concerns we can work on together.
The Approach
Evidence-based, and adapted to you.
I draw from several modalities and weave them together based on what you’re bringing into the room.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Cultivating present-moment awareness to help you work with difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than be overwhelmed by them.
Existential / Humanistic
Drawing on meaning and the fuller picture of who you are, to illuminate your inner sense of direction and possibility.
Compassion-Focused Therapy
Softening the inner critic and developing a kinder, clearer relationship with yourself and the things you’ve been through.
Acceptance & Commitment (ACT)
Identifying what is meaningful to you, and learning to move toward it even in the presence of difficult thoughts and feelings.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A practical, short-term therapy that helps you manage negative feelings and stress by changing how you think and act.

Frequently Asked
A few common questions.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like something just isn’t working, that’s usually enough of a reason to explore it. Therapy is for anyone who wants support, not just those in crisis. A free discovery call is a great way to find out if it’s a good fit.
How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and a strong therapeutic relationship. Over time, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and schedule.
Is therapy covered by insurance?
Many extended health benefit plans cover psychotherapy. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider. As a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Lauren is eligible under most plans that include psychotherapy.
In-person or online, which should I choose?
Both are equally effective. In-person sessions take place at our Hamilton office. Online sessions are available across Ontario. Some people prefer the structure of coming in; others value the convenience of virtual. We can mix it up as needed.
How long does therapy take?
There’s no single answer, it depends on what you’re working on and what you want from the process. Some clients find meaningful change in 8–12 sessions; others work together for a year or more. We check in regularly to make sure your therapy is meeting your needs.
